Justin Call earned a Master of Health Sciences degree and a PA Certificate of Completion from Duke University in Durham, N.C. in 2010. He completed a Bachelor of Environmental Design degree at the University of Colorado in Boulder, Colo., in 1998. Justin works closely with Dr. Barolat to promote consistency and satisfaction in patient care. He has extensive experience as a physician assistant in both neurosurgery and cardiothoracic surgery. Previously a first assist surgical PA, he is skilled on a wide range of general neurosurgical procedures such as complex spinal fusions and intracranial tumor resection. He was also responsible for daily rounds on the inpatient census, performing hospital consults, admissions and discharges. He is experienced in running outpatient pre/postoperative clinics, completing neurological exams and assessments, reading MRIs, CT scans and X-rays and in developing operative and non-operative treatment plans. Justin has served the Colorado health community since 2003. Prior to his physician assistant work, he served the Boulder County, Colo., community as a paramedic and volunteered as a paramedic/EMT/rescuer for the Boulder Emergency Squad. Justin holds the following certificates: PA-C, National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants; PA-C, Colorado Medical Board; and a DEA Rx licensure. Currently, he is a part of the North Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants and the American Academy of Physician Assistants. Previously, he was a member of Duke University's Eugene A. Stead PA Student Society, Triangle Area Physician Assistants and the Emergency Medical Services Association of Colorado. During his spare time, Justin pursues his passion for architecture, graphics and travel through design and photography.
